Afterward Raja Ram Singh established Rampur as the capital. It is supposed that the nation of Kinnaur was the Kailash written in Puranas, the house of Shiva. With its assets at Sonitpur this earlier royal state was spread up to the whole region of Kinnaur. Now a day, Sonitpur is called as Sarahan.
